ver the past 20 years, Unilin have worked directly with our stockist partners to understand and support them throughout their businesses.
As we celebrate the industry’s Rising Stars, our engagement at grassroots level continues as we encourage young talent and support their development. Our Rising Stars have the potential to be a driving force for change within our industry. Equipping our talent to deal with change means helping them to understand the impacts of areas such as legislation, regulation, technological advancement and climate change and how this will be felt within their businesses.
Our aim is to encourage the learning necessary to make our businesses more sustainable. Sometimes this is the development of learning content to expand understanding of industry issues. Often this means providing support and guidance to young talents as they expand and develop their skillset and knowledge base.
Realising opportunities in this environment will not be easy. Strong alliances and co-operation between manufacturers, the supply chain, designers and contractors will be required. Education and awareness remain central and that is why over the past months, we have worked to update our education and training offerings to the industry under the banner of the Discovery Hub.
Our Discovery Hub Innovation Centre in Chesterfield has been June 2025

developed to assist construction professionals in understanding the principles of specifying and achieving on-site, best practice, insulation standards for new dwellings, commercial envelope solutions and refurbishment projects. It is interactive and includes a training area and meeting spaces that are open for use by industry and education. Both our UK and Ireland Innovation Centres are BMF Centres of Excellence. For design and construction professionals, we also offer a host of webinars, consultation opportunities and training areas to help understand and implement energy performances beyond building regulation standards.
The centres are part of our overall learning programme that includes CPD, consultations, online learning along with specification and technical support. Our partnership with educational institutions is one of the elements of our business we are most proud of – helping to secure a positive future for our industry and our world. This partnership model continues into the field where our regional Specification and Technical Teams work on the ground to help guide and advise around key issues and on specific projects. Our commitment to work with our industry partners remains strong and our focus on new and emerging talent is a huge part of this.
