em.glaze Economy is available in 11 sizes from stock, all fully compliant with Building Regs Part L when fitted with a proprietary upstand. The standard colour is RAL7016 anthracite grey, but it is available to order in any RAL colour and in any bespoke size up to 2100mm x 2100mm.

7. Vista Engineering launches double drip design for Type 4 housing tie - the VE4-275
Vista Engineering Ltd has launched its new double drip design for its Type 4 housing tie, the VE4-275. Previously this would have required a specific offset drip tie which, if installed the wrong way round.
The new VE4 has been created so it can be installed either
way round without diminishing performance and ensuring it cannot be installed incorrectly. The product is ideal for working situations where there is no drip in the clear cavity, the new Vista VE4 can be used in standard cavities.
All VE4 275mm Type 4 housing ties will now be manufactured using the new design. The new VE4-275 wall tie conforms to PD6697 as a Type 4 tie suitable for party walls at 126 to 150mm cavities.

9. James Latham introduces Swiss Krono’s One World collection of Melamines James Latham has announced the launch of its Swiss Krono’s One World collection, it comes as 2800 x 2070 x 18mm sheets. One World offers 37 premium melamine patterns and textures, including monotone and woodgrain.

James Latham adds Garnica’s Reinforced range to its premium plywood portfolio. The material is suitable for a wide variety of residential, commercial, and retail applications. It is available in two distinctive looks, the lighter-hued Reinforced Poplar or the attractive pinkish-toned Reinforced Maple, the former is best suited for painting or covering, whilst the latter, with its unique, visually-striking ‘flame pattern’ grain, is perfect for decorative purposes. Similar to Garnica’s other plywood products, Reinforced is manufactured to achieve the highest degree of finesse in a controlled environment, only using sustainable timber. Produced in a standard sheet size of 2440 x 1220 and a wide array of thicknesses, ranging from five-17 plies, it’s available in the UK and Ireland, available through James Latham’s network of 14 depots.

10. Zoo Hardware launches new bathroom lock range
Zoo Hardware has
introduced its new bathroom lock accessory in response to

the Department for Education’s Technical Annex 2D: Internal Elements and Finishes Part 5.2.2. The Hex release options of bathroom turns have been introduced to meet the requirements of the document in relation to bathroom locks being used in schools that need to be locked from the inside and released from the outside by a hexagon or star profile key.
It is available in standard or accessible thumb turn configurations.
The Hex bathroom turn and release are manufactured from grade 304 Stainless Steel and are supplied on an 8mm rose base with the rose cover options of screw-on or push-on. As part of this range, Zoo Hardware has also introduced a separate dedicated Hex release key, which by design also offers a 5mm square drive that can be used in extreme emergency. The range includes:

11. Wiseman’s Corrosion Inhibtor Test Strip and Certification App Wiseman has launched its EVERAD Rapid Inhibitor Test Strip which helps heating engineers check the level of EVERAD Corrosion inhibitor in the system and they can cross reference with the supplied scientific colour map, to ensure it is at the correct level to provide system protection.
Its EVERAD Rapid Inhibitor Test app is also available from
Apple Store or Google Play, the test strip results can then be recorded with an immediately generated email-able Pass/Fail test certificate. As part of Building Regulations Part L BS7593, heating engineers are required to “offer” customers water treatment additives to add to their heating systems in an effort to ensure heating systems are operating optimally in terms of heat output. This in turn will provide a more positive environmental footprint and protect heating systems for longer. An additional benefit of the app is that other EVERAD water treatments, including Descaler, Cleanser, System Silencer, Leak Sealer and THERMOBOOST can be noted on the same certificate.
