Strix invited to be part of Platinum Jubilee celebrations
Strix, the global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of kettle safety controls, has been invited to be part of an exclusive book and launch event to commemorate HM The Queen’s official Platinum Jubilee due to its commitment to sustainability and innovation. The Commemorative Album
features a double page spread interview with Strix CEO Mark Bartlett, discussing the history of the business, its growth, innovations, and commitment to producing sustainable products. The company also had a
presence at the exclusive Claridge’s
launch event, displaying products from Strix’s SDA, water filtration and wellness brands, Aqua Optima and Laica, including the Aurora Instant Hot and Cold Water Dispenser which saves water and energy by only boiling the
water required and plays a role in in reducing the use of single-use plastics.

Neartoo.co.uk reaches product milestone

Neartoo.co.uk is celebrating reaching a milestone of having over 50,000 products for sale by independent retailers across the UK.
The
Neartoo.co.uk website was launched to the public in March and has been designed to capture shopping trends and help independent stores recover from the pandemic. With hundreds of stores signed up, the platform allows retailers to complement their physical stores and to build and grow their businesses. Each retailer has its own individual profile, and shop owners can either sync their existing online sales profile, or create their own through the platform if they haven’t been able to afford to create an
online presence yet. Jayne Weldon, e-commerce manager for

Rainy Day Trust – Thames Path Ultra update
A message from Bryan Clover, CEO at Rainy Day Trust: “In just 6 weeks time I will be standing on the start line… On 10 September 2022 I am embarking on the Thames Path Ultra Challenge, hiking 100km non-stop in under 24 hours. This isn’t the longest trek that I have done, but it is the first time that I have done it against the clock. 60 miles (100km) in under 24 hours, in an event where the drop-out rate is about 30%. Many more finish later than the 24 hours target. Although there are planned rest stops, I will still be carrying 25-30lbs of water and emergency kit. “We will be using the money
