warehousing facility in Flitwick, Bedfordshire, it despatches over 10,000 products a day to a network of specialist distributors, primarily targeting the hospitality industry. The company is now looking to expand its presence in the retail sector. Creative Retail Awards Shortlist revealed
On the 21 of July, the shortlisted entries for the upcoming 2022 Creative Retail Awards were revealed, presenting some of the very best in global retail, leisure, and hospitality design and display. The full list of shortlisted entries can be viewed at

the Shop & Display Equipment Association (SDEA) and Retail Focus, recognises the retail industry’s best companies and talent since 2018. With categories including sustainability, omni-channel, technology, VM schemes, POP/POS, shopfitting, store design, experience, and innovation, the Awards recognise talent across the full spectrum of design and display.
The winners will be announced on the 22 September at Proud Embankment, London.
In other SDEA news, Mark Chatterton, managing director of Morplan,
was voted as the new president and Rob Hill, production director of Graphica Display, was elected vice president at the association’s Annual General Meeting.
What More UK trains apprentices in specialist skills
In keeping with its ‘Made in Britain’ ethos, What More believes in training its staff from the ground up in order to keep up with their expansion and growth. Their apprenticeship programme
sees trainees learn on the job to keep up local knowledge of manufacturing and engineering skills. Elliot Prestage (pictured) joined at just 16, and is working in the Bakeware department, and completing his apprenticeship with Burnley College. Harrison Julienne is the latest apprentice in the Production department. Other apprentices who have become valued members of the team are William Moat, in the Toolmaking department and Izaak Holden, in Production.

apprentices are really well supported by the team and get some excellent training that will last them a lifetime. I’d encourage anyone to apply. What More really invests in its people, including management and leadership training.”

Sales director Howard Bradley commented: “Julie brings a wealth of experience and product knowledge to the role and she will be responsible for building sales with a selection of existing domestic and international accounts while developing new business, especially in the garden centre and gift sectors.” Joel Crook, meanwhile, joins the Dexam team as e-commerce manager. “Joel will be working initially to re-platform Dexam’s websites and will also be focussed on growing Dexam’s brand awareness with our online partners. This is a key area of growth that we have targeted and we are delighted to welcome Joel to the team to take our online partnerships to the next level”, said Bryony Dyer, Dexam’s managing director. Joel has over ten years’ eCommerce experience working for GHD, Garmin and Field & Hawken.
