Ambiente launches Christmas retailing
Conzoom sessions A new online series from Frankfurt-based trade show Ambiente will share expert tips for a profitable Christmas. Starting in August, the sessions are both for online business and for the appealing design of shop windows and retail spaces. Trend expert Gabriela Kaiser and e-commerce specialist Peter Höschl will guide retailers through the Christmas countdown, giving regular tips from August to January on key preparations for Christmas business, using decisive key levers and staging point of sale in an eye-catching way, up to the festive season and beyond. “Expert tips are more valuable than ever, because Christmas business is crucial for retailers. Our new Christmas series on Conzoom Solutions is intended to accompany retailers through the coming months and provide helpful tips for a successful end to the year. Always with an eye on appealing POS design and on important topics that are now driving the online business,” said Julia Uherek, VP Consumer Goods Fairs.

Home & Gift 2022 brought brands and buyers together again across 10 buzzing halls and marquees in sunny Harrogate. The top priority for retailers was the discovery of new products and the show provided the perfect setting, with over 30% of all exhibitors showing at the event for the very first time. 56% of visitors attended the show for the first time, and a full 20% of the visitors to this year’s show were VIP buyers with an average spend of over £1m. There was an overall attendee increase
of 8% compared to last year’s show, with attendees visiting from 31 countries.
The high quality
of visitors this year included 25% more independent retailers than the 2021 edition, a 65% uplift in interior designers, and 30% more visits from department store buyers. Home & Gift provides
a relaxed and sociable atmosphere for networking, with the opportunity to talk business over a glass of wine in the relaxed setting of the
Sundowners Drinks on Sunday night, as well as at the daily Gin-on-the-Lawn events. Retailers were also encouraged to take a break from walking the halls and learn from experts at the Shop Talk Mini Masterclass sessions.
Next year’s dates: 16-19 July 2023.
