Taylor’s Eye Witness will become from February 1, 2025, securing its future as an independent
business. Ownership will transfer to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) to protect the company’s legacy Company Director Alastair Fisher, a member of the founding
family, stated that the transition ensures continued growth Director Chris Inman will remain in their current roles, with daily operations unchanged. Taylor’s Eye Witness, which has designed and manufactured kitchenware since 1838, also represents international brands like Kai, SKK, and Veritable Sabatier in the UK and Ireland. The move marks a key step in safeguarding the company’s long- term success.

Burton McCall announces changes

Dickinson has retired from her position as Managing Director of Burton McCall, the company has decided to promote from within to its management team.

m In a LinkedIn post, Burton McCall said: “At the end of last
year, after over 30 years with Burton McCall our md, Michelle Dickinson retired and with this, we have decided that due to the strength of our senior people within the business, that Michelle will not be replaced.” Stewart Cameron, formerly Head of Marketing, has been
promoted to Director of Brand Management and Mohamed Hajat, formerly Head of Sales, will become Director of Sales. Mr Cameron and Mr Hajat will report into Chris Cooper, Finance and Operations Director, and along with Chris and Stephen Cann, Group CEO, form the senior management team for Burton McCall.
The post also stated: “We’re looking forward to this year and all at Burton McCall are excited for all that is to come along the way.”

ortmeirion Group has announced that its chairman Dick Steele is to step down and be succeeded by Peter Tracey. In a statement, the owner, designer, manufacturer and
omnichannel retailer of leading homeware brands said Mr Steele had informed the board of his intention to leave the board on January 31 2025.
During his time as chairman, the Group expanded its brand portfolio with the acquisition of Spode, Royal Worcester, Wax Lyrical and Nambé. Mike Raybould, Chief Executive Portmeirion Group, said: “I would
like to thank Mr Steele, on behalf of the entire board, for his valuable contribution, leadership and guidance over the years. “Dick’s dedication to supporting British manufacturing and homeware
brands has never wavered and he will leave the board with our very best wishes for the future.” Meanwhile, Mr Tracey will be joining the board as Non-executive Chairman and Chair of the nomination committee on February 1 2025. He is Managing Director Blackdown Partners, an independent
investment bank. He is also a Non-Executive Director of both Hurtwood service provider delivering solutions to enable businesses to transition to net-zero and manage their response to climate change. Mr Raybould added: “We are pleased to welcome Peter to the board as non-executive chairman. Peter’s contribution will assist the group in delivering long-term, sustainable value for all our stakeholders.”
