Tradestock to distribute Laura Ashley licensed products
Laura Ashley’s Blueprint Collectables tableware collection
Housewares supplier Tradestock has entered into a distribution agreement with Dutch company Wegter Consumenten B.V., which manufactures and distributes the licensed collection of Laura Ashley tableware. Tradestock managing director Keith
Nye said: “Like Tradestock, Wegter is a family-owned business with an ethos for outstanding customer service and exceptional products, and we are delighted to have this opportunity to add the renowned and distinguished Laura Ashley brand to our portfolio. “The Laura Ashley tableware collections and accessories are a
perfect addition to Tradestock’s portfolio, complementing our other brands which include glassware and tabletop accessories - thus enabling us to provide an all-encompassing and complementary china, glass and tabletop offering.” Frans Wegter of Wegter Consumenten commented: “We, too, are delighted about this collaboration of two like-minded businesses and look forward to working with Tradestock.” Wegter is a professional partner for tableware and kitchenware companies across Europe. With a heritage dating back over 100 years, the company manufactures, markets and distributes licensed and own brands as well as private label collections, with the most famous licensed brand being Laura Ashley. The first Laura Ashley tableware collection - Blueprint Collectables - was introduced in 2017, followed by Heritage Collectables in 2019. The designs, taken from early Laura Ashley archives, are now used and portrayed on finest new bone china porcelain.
Rebrand for Bake-O-Glide
The Bake-O-Glide brand from housewares supplier Falcon Products has undergone a rebranding exercise, coinciding with one of its largest product launches in several years, and the introduction of new eco- friendly packaging. Falcon Products managing director
Gary Downham said: “Since our family business was established almost 30 years ago, our Bake-O- Glide brand of non-stick, reusable cooking and baking liners has been at the heart of our portfolio. “Reinforcing the strength of the
brand, a new Bake-O-Glide logo was introduced at [London trade show] Exclusively Housewares in June. It displays a retro look similar to the original logo and with a nostalgic nod to the past when the brand originated.
“The old logo, which was around for an amazing 27 years, had become something of an icon in its own right. However our new logo, whilst retaining that same instantly

recognisable look, gives the brand a re-fresh and is also more suited to today’s print and online applications.” Along with this rebranding, the company also introduced new lines at the show including a Silicone Baking Mesh Mat, Silicone Mesh Cooling Rack Liner, Silicone Macaron/Meringue Mat, RGB (red, green & blue) Primary Liners and an Induction Hob Protector, as well as rolling out new eco-friendly packaging across the brand.
