BSW Heating, a family-run business with a strong reputation for high-quality heating services across Southeast England, has worked with ADEY for over six years and so it turned to the company again to provide water treatment needs, including commercial water testing and a complete treatment strategy for the healthcare facility. Upon initial inspection, BSW Heating’s assistant


project manager, Theya Ross, used ADEY’s System Diagnostic Test Kit to extract a water sample and analyse system health. The results showed: • Black iron oxide was visible in the water sample • Test results revealed extremely high levels of iron and magnetite • Corrosion and contamination were widespread Testing the water quality before the work


commenced, gave BSW Heating a window into the system health of the water. Through analysing the 11 key parameters including pH, chloride, and dissolved metals, it allowed the team to identify any potential issues early on like corrosion, scaling, or other contaminants before commencing the installation of any new plant or equipment. For contractors, this kit provides fast, reliable


results, not only helping avoid potential costly callbacks but also strengthens client relationships by demonstrating a commitment to quality and long- term system reliability. The previous neglect of water management had


caused severe failures and frequent operational issues across the system. The only filtration method in place was a basic air dirt separator – insufficient for preventing buildup or protecting the plantroom. It was clear that a complete overhaul was necessary. Fortunately, the timing aligned with a broader


plantroom refurbishment. This presented the perfect opportunity to implement a full new water treatment solution before installing new equipment. Given the vulnerable nature of the environment, minimising downtime of the heating and water systems whilst ensuring a seamless transition was crucial.


The solution


The tailored water treatment solution, which included the CMX Nano ® Pro Assist, was suitable for this facility’s needs. The CMX Nano Pro Assist is specifically designed for compact installations where space is limited, but powerful filtration is needed. Key features include:


• Continuous filtration of both magnetic and non- magnetic debris • Real-time performance monitoring • Easy integration into small plantrooms • Plug-and-play setup with preconfigured parameters One of the key factors that made this the solution


of choice for BSW Heating was the simplicity of installation. The unit was designed to be ‘plug and play.’ It arrived pre-installed, with parameters already set, so it was just a matter of connecting the system, turning it on, and ensuring it was functioning properly.


WATER TREATMENT


Enhancing water quality at a healthcare facility


In healthcare facilities, reliable heating and hot water aren’t optional, they’re essential. Systems must run efficiently and without interruption, particularly when patient care is involved. When BSW Heating was called in to replace a failing plantroom at a healthcare facility, they turned to our ADEY Commercial water treatment solutions to ensure long-term performance and reliability


To enhance performance further, BSW Heating also installed the CMX Nano External Magnetic Jacket. Its high-performance neodymium magnets accelerate the removal of magnetite, providing added thermal insulation, reducing heat loss and boosting system efficiency. Despite the plantroom’s limited space, the


compact CMX Nano® Pro Assist was installed without issue. Its adaptable design helped BSW Heating overcome logistical challenges while maintaining the highest standards. After new high efficiency condensing boilers were


installed, BSW Heating retested the system using the Diagnostic Test Kit to confirm water quality. This not only verified compliance with BSRIA BG29 guidelines but also gave BSW Heating and the client confidence that the system was starting off in optimal health. This seamless installation minimised disruption to the facility and allowed the heating and water systems to get back up and running without delay. “The whole process was quick and straightforward - no complications, no delays.” said Theya.


The outcome The result was a cleaner, more efficient heating system backed by ongoing water treatment management. This provided both immediate and long- term benefits including: • A clean and restored system • Improved system performance and efficiency

compatibility, the CMX Nano® Pro Assist continuously monitors filter performance with additional automated alerts and diagnostics, ensuring that issues are identified and addressed before they impact system performance. Contractors and facilities managers can access detailed, real-time data, improving decision-making and response times. This proactive monitoring reduces manual inspections, cuts labour costs, and allows BSW Heating and the healthcare facility to take a proactive, data-driven approach to system maintenance.
