CONTENTS From the editor O

n 16 March it will be one year since the UK went into full lockdown after Covid-19 announced its presence in the country. Since then, the world has changed in many ways, but in others it remains the same.

While there looks like there might be an

end in sight to Covid-19, at least in the UK, Brexit has raised its head again, biting many companies who, anecdotally, are struggling with import/export administration and added costs - but this too, shall pass.

The green agenda though, has the potential to be front and centre as we rebuild after this last year and it looks like heat pumps are where it’s at.

The arguments for heat pumps as a sustainable solution is strong for now, but what does sustainable really mean? At some point will heat pumps be considered unsustainable because of the refrigerant gases inside or perhaps because they use too much electricity?

The only thing that needs to be truly sustainable is the drive to keep moving forward and keep developing the technology to do the right thing to protect the future. Because if there’s one thing Covid-19 has taught us, it’s that the future might be closer than you think.
