Seymour
Seymour Manufacturing International (SMI) is now treating its range of strip curtains, doors and thermal windows with Bio-Gard, which kills 99% of all germs. Brian Seymour, SMI’s founder and
managing director, said: “The Bio-Gard has been tested under so many conditions to ensure that it complies to world standards such as JIS Z 2801. 2000, ISO 22196:2011, and EU Directive 20002/72EC.” Mr Seymour noted: “Bio-Gard is not only in stock to hang on the regular headers for plastic strip curtains, but can also be hung on our range of Cold-Stop headers, as these are fitted with eyelets.” Bio-Gard is now used in all of SMI’s Cold-Stop, Back-Stop, TCZ and all other clear windows fitted into the product range. Bio-Gard windows are initially being stocked in 200mm and 300mm widths in a strong 2mm thick extrusion. Curtains are cut to 2.3 metre lengths, but are also stocked in rolls for easy conversion. Bio-Gard is intended to work in ambient areas, where bacteria can grow quickly, alongside SMI’s Cold-Stop curtains that save 25% in chilled areas and 33.3% in frozen rooms.

Trane
Trane has expanded its Airfinity XL series of packaged heating, ventilating and air- conditioning (HVAC) rooftop units. The two new, larger models extend the range up to 270kW of nominal capacity, and 44,000m3 of nominal airflow. When
bundled with the Trane Energy Recovery Module the units can deliver up to 20% additional capacity.
The Airfinity rooftop is a portfolio of outdoor plug-and-play HVAC units ideal for a logistics center, warehouse or industrial comfort applications. The portfolio was designed to save installers’ time and reduce first and ongoing maintenance costs by improving efficiency of existing buildings that require customisable solutions to meet their unique needs.
Dominique Silva, product manager, Trane Europe, said: “With the Airfinity XL portfolio we want to provide our customers with cost- effective heating and cooling solutions.
“Rooftops are directly connected to the ductwork, so there is no energy consumption from additional piping systems and pump networks.”

Toshiba’s TC78B027FTG is a brushless motor controller with an integrated pre- driver that can drive a range of external MOSFETs to meet the challenges of applications across a range of power
levels. The controller IC has Intelligent Phase Control (InPAC) and closed loop speed control technologies. InPAC delivers high-efficiency drive by synchronisng the phases of the driving voltage and current. Either open-loop or closed-loop speed control can be selected. The closed-loop speed control function regulates and maintains the rotational speed of the motor during dynamic power fluctuations and load variations. The device only requires one Hall sensor input allowing use with a single Hall sensor motor or a more conventional 3 Hall sensors motors. The IC also allows the choice of either an analog or digital Hall signal for rotor position detection.
The device is housed in a small VQFN24 package and operates from a five to 16V supply. It can accept either a PWM or analog input signal. For low power applications, there is also the TC78B025FTG fully integrated driver version which is suitable for 16V/3.5A applications.

Taylor UK
ISA’s ice cream/gelato display cabinet, the Millennium, distributed by Taylor UK, is equipped with advanced technology, excellent build quality, and is more
durable, innovative, and sustainable than previous models. The refrigeration system offers sustainable technology, with all models using R290 propane.
The optional dual temperature function allows the display cabinet to switch temperature easily. Its design includes a choice of either a curved or straight front glass
panel. The rear curtain, with magnetic closing and side runners, means the cabinet can be opened easily. There is also the option of a plexiglass sliding door system. The internal design of the unit makes cleaning easy.
The front glass is equipped with hermetic seals and the curtain with side runners helps caterers save energy by reducing heat loss, it is also equipped with rear brake casters, height-adjustable feet, and rear handles. The Millennium’s exterior panels can be customised with any RAL colours.
