The Carel range of displays now includes the pGDx7’’, 10” and 15”, touch screen user interfaces with 7, 10 and 15-inch screens. These guarantee a modern and effective interaction experience and simple access to available information.
. The displays simplify access to the information through a responsive template. WiFi connection is now available both on the pGDx4.3” and pGDx7” – they can communicate wirelessly with both the control networks and external devices.
The School of Science and Technology at Nottingham Trent University wanted a facility that could study how the human body would react to different climates. To this end, it decided to invest in an environmental chamber that could simulate different conditions in order to aid its Sports Science program. The chamber uses cutting-edge equipment to control variables such
as temperature, humidity and altitude. This allows those operating it to recreate the conditions of nearly any environment in the world. The chamber’s internal climate can range from -30°C to 60°C and from sea level to the top of Everest. By training athletes within the chamber, researchers are able to carefully monitor physical activity to study the impact of different climates on the human body. It has also been used by Team GB to prepare athletes for the 2020 Olympics by recreating the same conditions they’ll face in Tokyo. The project was undertaken by environmental control specialists
TIS Services. To faithfully imitate the humidity of any location in the world requires precision control. This led them to specify HygroMatik’s FlexLine Plus steam humidifier. A stable and controlled climate was crucial for Nottingham Trent’s environment chambers. Fluctuations in air humidity would disrupt experiments and athletes’ conditioning training, failing to deliver accurate results and harming training processes respectively. The FlexLine Plus system was developed especially for the use in precision humidification in sensitive areas as well as the stabilisation of relative air humidity in laboratories and research facilities. This made it the perfect option for the high requirements of the environment chambers.

The displays can also be used as a Wireless Access Point (WAP) or Wireless Client Station. They have a screen with resistive touch technology, ideal for situations where direct touch may not be possible. Insulation from external objects and substances is guaranteed by IP66 protection against dust and water.
The pGDx4.3” and pGDX7” have an LED bar with different colour variations for notifications, each colour can correspond to a different type of status or alarm. They also have a built-in temperature and humidity probe, as well as a USB port on the front.

The displays feature 24-bit colour depth offering around 16.8 million colours with Truecolor technology. It also features brightness up to 500 cd/m2

Carrier’s AquaForce Vision is now available with PUREtec refrigerant, as its premium variable-speed air cooled screw chiller using low Global Warming Potential (GWP) HFO R1234ze refrigerant.
The AquaForce Vision 30KAVP-ZE unit balances environmental responsibility with performance and covers cooling capacities from 350kW up to 800kW. It has a seasonal energy efficiency ratio rating of up to 5.6.
Carrier’s AquaForce chiller units with PUREtec refrigerant have been installed in more than 300 projects throughout the region. With a GWP of less than one, the 30KAVP-ZE range offers a long- term refrigerant solution, in advance of the European F-Gas regulation HFC phase-down, and features state-of-the-art technologies including twin screw compressor equipped with permanent magnet motor technology (30KAVP-ZE version), EC variable-speed fans, smart energy monitoring function, smart refrigerant leak detection, heat recovery and partial heat recovery options.
