Emerson

Emerson is releasing three new models to its Copeland Scroll KA compressor lineup: the ZF06KA, ZF09KA and ZS20KA. The new ZF06KA and ZF09KA model compressors are for low temperature refrigeration applications, while the ZS20KA is designed for extended medium to high temperature refrigeration applications. The ZF06KA and ZS20KA are available this

spring, while the ZF09KA will be available in the autumn of 2019. Phil Moeller, vice president of product management at Emerson, said: “It’s our responsibility to continue to innovate and bring our customers products that help match their application needs. As the refrigeration industry changes and grows even more complex, we plan to continue to expand our product off erings to help our customers adjust to turbulent regulatory times.”

Emerson’s ZFKA models are ideally suited for applications such as walk-in freezers and reach-ins, while its ZSKA models are wide- ranging, multi-refrigerant capable with lower sound and vibration for use in supermarkets, restaurants and convenience stores. www.emerson.com

Humidity Solutions

Humidity Solutions has launched HomEvap to the UK market, opening up new opportunities for providing safe and precise humidity control and/or low energy

cooling for residential, commercial or preservation applications. Fitted to an air stream such as an HRU, the HomEvap Humidifi er connects inline to provide humidity-controlled air to space. Using the adiabatic evaporative process, the water wastage is low, as is the energy usage. A built-in heater can warm the air to overcome the cooling eff ect if required. The HomEvap Cooler can be fi tted to the warm air extract prior to the HRU, so that the cooling eff ect is transferred to the incoming air without the humidity, providing up to 2kW of cooling for 20W of energy. Both solutions can be combined, with a single controller behind the technology. All controls and sensors are included in the package for a plug-and-play solution. If there is no airfl ow, the HomEvap Direct is the solution. The system is stand alone, using a low energy, quiet fan, and can be discreetly positioned above a ceiling or in a cupboard.

RDM

Resource Data Management (RDM) has announced a major software update for DMTouch. DMTouch software v3.0 includes an entirely new user interface and features that make it faster and more effi cient for users to view, manage and control their data. Retaining a similar navigation structure to the previous software, the clear, consistent navigation helps users reach their end objective quickly. The UX features make it much faster and simpler to view and manage data. A signifi cant new feature, particularly benefi cial for the medical and pharmaceutical industries, is the option to assign an RDM digital signature to exported data. This guarantees the integrity of data, as it cannot be corrupted by the user interference as digital signatures are removed upon user edit. Users can choose between a light and dark theme, opt for a HVAC/BMS or Refrigeration discipline, and have the ability to specify operating time zone and panel language. The system can create a panel-specifi c dashboard with options including gauges, real-time graphs, alarms, device status, Temperature Performance Indicator (TPI) and discipline summaries.

Refco

Refco has two diff erent types of Schrader valve tools in its product range: the access control valve and the valve core replacing tool. These products off er many useful features. The idea behind

the access control valve is to depress the Schrader valve at the exact moment the connection is tightly screwed. Refco achieves this with a spindle that is retracted in unmounted state and can be unscrewed in mounted state. During development, attention was focused on achieving a compact design that permits working even in confi ned spaces. The product has been designed and tested for all HFC and CFC gases, in a pressure range from -1 to 60 bar, making it suitable for everything from vacuums to high pressures. Unique mechanical stops minimise application errors and make the product easy to handle. The stops prevent the Schrader valve from being overpressurised, which could result in damage and leakage. Also, no refrigerant fl ows when the spindle is turned to the top position, so the contents of the hose cannot escape while the connection is being changed The product comes in a lightweight brass construction, fi nished off in an attractive design. www.refco.ch
