VENDEX REVIEW New Vendex venue proves great success

Vendex North opened the doors at its new Elland Road Centenary Pavilion venue in Leeds on Wednesday, October 30, with the move proving popular among visitors and exhibitors who were able to do good business on the day.

Vendex show director Phil Reynolds commented: “The decision to move to a bigger venue has definitely been the right one. There was plenty of space for meetings both on and off stand and orders were placed on the day.” Feedback from both exhibitors about the new

venue and the opportunities the show presented were also highly positive: Craig Jukes, sales director at Evoca Group said: “Vendex has always been a great one-day format trade show exhibition but this year in its new home of Leeds it excelled.” Meanwhile Fintech company SuzoHapp said

the show was a great platform for networking. Suzohapp account manager UK Nick Norris said: “It was indeed an excellent opportunity for the industry to come together and see the latest innovations on show. Suzohapp was able to offer OEMs a detailed

and intuitive overview of its components through its new website suzohapp.com/oem Meanwhile, on the product side, the company’s new E-PRL electronic reprogrammable lock was well received. Nick said: “This lock really raises the bar for

locks, giving different levels of access and added security. Furthermore, it is simple to replace a standard lock with this one as the lock requires no power. Our evergreen products – the Currenza C2 coin recycler and the WorldKey cashless took centre stage as usual.” One of the highlights of Vendex North was

the exclusive launch of Westomatic Vending Services’ new Autorista premium coffee vending machine. Andrea Goswell, commercial director at

Westomatic said: “Launching at Vendex made complete sense for us. We have been very busy on the stand. It’s great to meet decision makers at the show and we have sold several machines today.”

Westomatic gathered a crowd to its red, white

a blue stand to announce the new release – a premium self-service coffee machine, with an impressive aesthetic, designed and built in England. Westomatic marketing manager, Dan Tanner

said: “We set out to create a machine to lead the premium self-service market, with the aim to deliver a user experience that will break down any objection to the price of a machine- dispensed coffee. “When you look at our new Autorista, pay

attention to the initial impression; a 27-inch touch screen with full screen adverts, a bold, matte design and strong build quality, the aesthetic impresses enough to overcome any hesitation in parting with your £2 in exchange for a drink.” The Autorista will be available towards the

end of Q1 2020 as the final kinks are ironed out in the product. Nigel Barron, sales director at Abbeychart was

also pleased with the event. He said: “We were delighted to be exhibiting at Vendex North again this year and very pleased with the change of venue. Nigel said: “We had a refurbished chiller unit

on display so that visitors could gain first-hand experience of the Abbeychart service and what a difference it makes in terms of machine life, operating efficiency and beverage quality. We are very pleased to report that such was the interest in the chiller unit refurbs that we secured orders for the service on the stand. “The Bioguard range of cleaning and hygiene

products which includes specialist lines for vending machines, coffee machines and bottled

water dispensers also proved to be of great interest to visitors. Marketing director for H2O Direct Emma Redford described the event as “super successful”.
