Entry Process Plan ahead Consider the awards criteria when planning your entry

ntries are now open for the 31st iteration of the IER Awards, which
will culminate in the awards ceremony on Friday, June 16, 2023. There are a number of things to consider when entering the IER Awards 2023. Here are some tips that you might like to consider as you prepare your entry:
Start early Give yourself plenty of time to prepare your entry. The entry deadline is Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
Invest in it Producing a successful entry is time-consuming, so make sure you create time in your diary to make sure your entry is completed.
How it works… The Entry Stage: October 31, 2022 – January 10, 2023 Entering the IER Awards is quick, easy and free. Simply put forward your innovative products and award-worthy cases using our online entry portal. TIP: Register an account and you can save your progress on the entry form and log in at a later stage to complete your application when you’re ready.
The Decision Making: January 16, 2023 – March 1, 2023 For entries in the Manufacturer/Supplier categories, they will fi rst be reviewed by an independent panel of judges who will determine a shortlist in each category. These shortlists will then be put to an online industry vote, where retailers will be invited to show their support for the brands and products they believe in. For the Retailer categories, the power will be solely in the hands of a specially selected panel of judges who will determine both a shortlist and the winners in each category.
Awards Ceremony: June 16, 2023 The industry’s leading retailers and manufacturers/suppliers will be crowned champions during the IER Awards ceremony on Friday, June 16, 2023.

Keep it simple Focus on what the judges are asking for in the judging criteria. Write in plain English and make sure the entry is succinct, clear and easy to understand.

Prove it Demonstrate how you have achieved clear results for your customers. Back up your claims with testimonials.
Keep checking Be sure to check your entry thoroughly before submitting. Sloppy spelling, grammar and typos may give the judges the impression that you have not put enough eff ort into the entry process. Ask a colleague to proofread your entry.
