Product detail pop-up within Purchase Control – Standard paragraphs may now be associated with products via the product maintenance option so they are displayed automatically during purchase order entry. This will ensure your staff are automatically made aware of key criteria as they create purchase orders.
Extended Product Attributes – K8 now enables a practically unlimited number of attributes to be associated with each product. These attributes, which are sometimes stored in external databases, can now be incorporated with other product detail and are available for reporting and output onto documentation.
Promotions – The K8 promotion engine, which enables ‘buy one, get one free’ offers amongst many others, has now been extended to enable promotions to be applied to purchase orders. This ensures that you can now take advantage of promotions that are offered by your suppliers.
24/7 Trading – K8 now ensures that you are open for business 24 hours a day. This enhancement allows the K8 trading system to continue to operate whilst system tasks, historically undertaken during a blackout window, are carried out. This ensures that you can continue to trade, process orders and shipments and take online orders 24/7 .
Project Control Centre – The Project Control Centre allows you to create projects that can track and monitor opportunities, from initial contact right through to the order and beyond. Projects may be raised for prospective clients or for existing customer opportunities. You can raise quotations for each project phase and agree pricing terms.
Offline Trading – The K8 Offline solution has been enhanced to make it easier to use, install and keep up to date. K8 Offline is a solution that enables you to synchronise key data (customer terms, products, inventory levels etc) to a local system. In the event of a full system outage, due to loss of network or hardware failure, your branch can continue to trade using K8 Offline and automatically upload the orders to the main system when it’s back online.
Cloud computing
As a pioneering company, cloud computing is nothing new to us. We’ve been supplying solutions via our K-Cloud for 17 years and we continue to enhance the way we work with it.
It enables us to deliver K8 software to our customers via a range of flexible options to suit the way they run their business.
Choosing to deploy your K8 on the cloud means you benefit from the superior resilience and security of data centre architecture – with the KCS team taking on the day to day management of the system.
Our SaaS (Software as a Service) model delivers even further benefits including a lower initial investment, a known ongoing cost for budgeting, seamless upgrades and the addition of new users and branches as the business grows.
