CP Electronics wins award for HVAC detector E

Heatrae Sadia renews HWA Charter membership

nergy and lighting controls specialist CP Electronics has won an RAC Cooling Award for its innovative air conditioning

controller, the GESM-AC. A battery-powered passive infrared (PIR) sensor, the GESM-AC limits use of air conditioning to times when it’s necessary – and switches it off when it’s not, based on occupancy. CP Electronics won the ‘Air Conditioning Product of the Year – Accessories & Peripherals’ category. Its detector is designed to help bring energy consumption from air conditioning units down. The awards were announced on September 26th at a dinner In London attended by more 600 of the refrigeration and air conditioning industry’s elite. Mike Brooks,

Marketing Manager of CP Electronics, said: “With our experience in energy efficient lighting controls, our team has applied their knowledge of occupancy detection to the HVAC market. Now, with the GESM-AC, the air conditioning only comes on when required, and there is less onus on facilities and building managers to switch off air conditioning units manually. Sensors can individually regulate specific AC units, thus creating multiple zones of control.”

A proud moment for CP Electronics as it collects the Air Conditioning Product of the Year trophy at the RAC Cooling Awards.

products manufacturer Heatrae Sadia has renewed its certification as Hot Water Association (HWA) Charter members for 2019. The HWA Charter is designed to

promote high levels of quality and transparency amongst heating appliance manufacturers and membership can only be achieved through a rigorous auditing process. In order to renew its membership

for 2019, Heatrae Sadia had to meet a number of criteria. This included the supply of fit for purpose products, clearly and honestly described, which meet or exceed appropriate standards and

regulations, and the provision of pre and post installation technical support along with clear and concise warranty details for customers. Alan Clarke, Technical Support

Manager at Heatrae Sadia, said: “The HWA Charter is recognised across the industry as the standard which manufacturers should aim to meet. Our Charter membership assures those who work with Heatrae Sadia that we provide products and services which can be relied upon – a responsibility which we take very seriously. “We are delighted to have achieved

renewed membership for 2019 and look forward to upholding the values of The HWA Charter for another year.”
