PULS 24V 20A DC DIN-Rail power supply has remote control of output
Remote control feature simplifies centralised control of multiple system power supplies
PULS Power, the specialist manufacturer of high reliability DIN-Rail power supplies, introduce their new DIN-Rail power supply CP20.241-V1 featuring a remote-controlled ON/OFF feature. This allows system administrators and building automation controllers to switch the power supply on or off by use of an external signal switch or transistor gate. This remote-control feature makes centralised control of multiple system components very simple to implement and provides a very efficient shut- down facility in the event of system failure or emergency.
The new PULS CP20.241-V1 is part of the DIMENSION CP series, which provides efficient solutions for designers and systems integrators requiring powerful and space-saving DIN rail power supplies.
With a width of only 48mm, PULS has set a new standard in this power class. The compact design of the CP20 units is made possible due to its
efficiency of 95.6%. The devices have been optimised not only for the highest possible peak efficiency at full load but also provides excellent efficiencies with partial loads. High efficiency levels across the entire load range mean lower energy costs for the users in the usage phase and lower heat generated. The CP20 power supplies also raise the bar for reliability. The units can achieve a service lifetime of at least 94,000 hours at +40°C ambient temperature, 100% load and 230VAC input.
In addition to the high-power density users benefit from a comprehensive approvals package and many useful features. These features include a power reserve of 20% (up to +45°C continuously and between +45°C and +60°C short-term), an exceptionally small input inrush current, full output power between - 25°C and +60°C (with derating up to +70°C) as well as high immunity to transients.

conductive elastomer for RFI/EMI shielding Kemtron, the British manufacturer of RFI/EMI shielding gaskets, materials and components has launched a flame retardant, low smoke, low toxicity EMC shielding gasket. Tested and approved to the international standard UL94V-0 by Underwriters Laboratories for flame retardancy, file number E344902.
The material is a nickel coated graphite loaded into silicone elastomers, product code SNG-FR, the gasket provided a highly electrically conductive path between mating flanges of an electronics equipment enclosure giving a high level of RFI/EMI shielding. Nickel coated graphite in silicone is the most cost effective of all the electrically conductive silicone elastomers and its performance in many
applications will exceed that of silver based products due to its more aggressive surface finish providing a very low surface contact resistance. The material can be supplied as an extruded strip in various profiles, “O” rings or flat die cut gaskets. Electrically conductive pressure sensitive adhesive can be applied to flat gaskets to aid assembly.

Expanded PBL Series flanged enclosures announced by BCL Enclosures
A robust and customisable solution for multiple applications including automotive; includes tamperproof model
BCL Enclosures, the specialist UK manufacturer of standard and custom plastic enclosures, has expanded its PBL Series of flanged enclosures. PBL Series flanged enclosures are ideal for small assemblies or potting box applications and provide protection to small electrical systems. The flanged system assists surface mounting which secures the system to the appropriate surface. The PBL Series can also be used to house and mount small PCBs or used as potting boxes.
A robust solution for multiple applications, the general purpose expanded PBL Series is moulded in ABS for strength and durability. There are three variants within the PBL Series: PBL2 and PBL3 are general boxes with bases, available in black or white as standard. The base is loose fitting and can be secured in place by clamping to a panel or bulkhead. For applications requiring a tamperproof housing, the base can also be riveted to the box, protecting the contents from casual interference.
PBL7 is a flanged enclosure in black ABS featuring a separate self-locking base and seven numbered slots to take wires or 0.25” PCB mounting blades. There is also a raised panel to take labels for easy identification of contents and other information. Measuring 100mm x 95mm x 42mm high, it is a smart solution for design critical applications.
The third option in the PBL series is a range of models with fixing flanges, bases and slotted mounting lugs. Designed originally for automotive applications, this range is versatile and can be used in many different projects. These cost-effective general purpose boxes are moulded in black with the slotted lugs enabling simple fixing. Three versions, PBL04, PBL06 and PBL1 are designed for interference push fit, but can also be glued to provide a secure housing. On the larger PBL08 and PBL09 models, the base is retained with the four stainless steel screws provided.
