FMAB NEO: compact single-phase filter for a wide current range
SCHURTER is expanding its successful single-phase filter family, FMAB NEO, with new design series P and Q. This range of single-phase filters combines high performance in a compact design. The new series extends the range of current ratings up to 60 A, with an extended temperature range from -40°C to 100°C.
The new FMAB filter family offers 3 different levels of design flexibility. FMAB NEO design N comes with two large X capacitors, that offer high symmetrical attenuation in the lower frequency range. The new filter design P contains two standard X capacitors for high symmetrical attenuation, while Design Q offers one X capacitor for good symmetrical attenuation. With the extended temperature range from -40 to 100 °C, all filters are suitable for applications used in harsh environments.
The FMAB NEO filters have a polished steel housing with a closed filter base. The filter is thus effectively and completely shielded, regardless of how it is mounted. The filter series is particularly suitable for equipment with high symmetrical interferences, such as devices with semiconductors that control high-power equipment, including professional coffee machines, devices with water heaters, and all types of industrial electronics. The compact filters are also suitable for medical equipment and household appliances.
The filter series is fitted with plug-in connections or threaded bolts. A version with wire connections is also available. The metal flange provides easy screw-on mounting.

Selwyn Electronics – the ODU UK connector distributor
Selwyn Electronics have been appointed as the UK Distributor for ODU connectors. They will be promoting the full range of connectors, Push-Pull, Modular, Single Contact, Heavy Duty, Docking /Robotic connectors and can also offer a full cable assembly service for these products from their ODU approved UK facility.
The Push -pull series encompasses IP50 to IP68 rated cable and panel mount connectors. As the name suggests these connectors secure themselves giving protection from accidental

Telonic Instruments announce the UK release of the new Kikusui PWR-01 series of wide-range benchtop programmable DC power supplies.
The PWR-01 series are versatile instruments with models offering 400W, 800W, and 1200W rated power output with maximum rated voltages up to 650V. Equipped with a 4-times voltage and current variable ratio, making this one of the most versatile range of DC power supplies on the market today, the PWR-01 provides flexible current and voltage for a variety of applications.
Variable internal impedance is a unique new feature that allows for various types of simulations suitable for automotive test and other battery-driven applications as well as solar-panel evaluation.
The PWR-01 is also equipped with a soft-start function that limits the inrush current, minimizing any harmful effects to DUTs such as DC motors. The power supplies are also equipped with ergonomic power setting knobs, allowing the operator to control voltage and current independently, as well as front-facing banana plugs designed for safety and convenience.
The PWR-01 programmable internal-memory feature lets the engineer save custom sequences on the power supply, eliminating the need to access a PC every time a test is conducted.
Synchronized operation allows for more complex sequences over multiple channels for accurate testing of DC/DC converters and other products.
LAN (LXI), USB, and RS-232 interfaces are included as a standard; the PWR can be operated in almost any testing environment via SCPI commands, facilitating system integration.

Advanced Interconnections Corp. has extended its line of Mezza-pede SMT Connectors with a new lower profile header (model DHAL) which reduces board stack height by 15%. The innovative design features an ultrathin insulator, at only 0.025 inch (0.63mm) – half the thickness of the original header design. When paired with mating socket model DHS, a z-axis stack height of 0.132 in. (3.4mm) is achievable. This newest Mezza-pede connector facilitates a reduction in package height and a shorter signal path in applications ranging from tunable laser power connectors in optical transceivers to hand-held medical electronic devices.
Mezza-pede SMT Connectors are ideal for 1.0mm pitch board-to-board and cable-to-board interconnections in high density electronic designs, where space is at a premium. The
new model DHAL is currently available with 14 positions and features Advanced’s proprietary SMT lead frame and pin design, combining high reliability screw-machined terminals with a unique over-molded lead frame in a precision-molded LCP insulator.
Typical applications include telecommunications, military, medical, and anywhere a high reliability surface mount connector is needed in a high density package. Mezza-pede SMT Connectors with 30 microinches (µin) gold plating pass the 20-day mixed flowing gas (MFG) test, often required by the world’s most demanding telecommunications applications. The Mezza-pede connector line, including the new model DHAL, is RoHS compliant, usable at operating temperatures from -55 to +125°C, and can handle as much as 1.1 A current at +80°C.

Thermal profiling inside kilns
The DATAPAQ Kiln Tracker product family comprises thermal profiling systems for tunnel kilns, roller hearth kilns, and hydro kilns. These consist of heat-protected data loggers that record temperature profiles via up to 20 thermocouple channels, and user- friendly analysis software.
The thermal barriers are engineered to protect the electronics so efficiently they can sustain firing cycles lasting several days and peak temperatures reaching up to 1,250°C. Memory for
storing 3.6 million data points also provides more than adequate capacity. Ceramics, bricks, technical ceramics, as well as the air temperature can be monitored during the burning process – with wireless data transmission and live evaluation options. Users can download all data after the end of the process, analyze and share profiles, and create certified reports. The software features sophisticated functions for speedy, optimal setup of kilns as well as quick diagnosis and correction of errors such as faulty burners and temperature imbalance.
