I
’m just back from two exciting shows, the 88th edition of MICAM, the international footwear exhibition promoted by Assocalzaturifici, from 15th to 18th September at
the Rho Fiera Milano, Italy - and ShoesRoom by Momad, organised by IFEMA from 20th to 22nd September at Feria de Madrid. The 50th anniversary edition of MICAM concluded on a positive note. The event
was attended by 44,076 trade visitors, including 60% from abroad, who were able to peruse a wide range of exhibits offered by 1303 companies. Attendance figures showed a 0.94% increase in individual visitor numbers compared with February 2019. All in all, a truly great Show! See our MICAM Review on pages 18-19 of this issue. The ShoesRoom venue was La Nave, a modern industrial site outside the Feria de
Madrid complex. On the days that I visited the isles were busy and on the stands agents were writing orders. Notably stands showing stunning Menorcan collections, including RIA Menorca, which were full of customers waiting to place orders. Read more about ShoesRoom By Momad on page 22 of this edition. Both shows offer a Buyer’s Programme for independent footwear retailers who
