TECHNOLOGY IN ACTION ADVERTORIAL

Lenze presents the best recipes for the processing and packaging industry at PPMA

RiskMach Exhibiting at PPMA Show

R

iskMach is the first purpose built platform for managing PUWER inspection, risk assessments and all resulting

documentation in a closed loop process. It provides an open platform for all stake holders in machinery safety to record and action their risk assessments. The RiskMach suite is a comprehensive web based machine risk assessment tool that supports all users in line with their needs: •Health and Safety Managers •Engineering Managers •Project Engineers and Managers Your information is precious. RiskMach is a solution to a number of problems that has plagued our industry since its birth.

RiskMach are exhibiting at this year’s PPMA show. Visit us

on Stand K96 to see RiskMach in action! If you are visiting the show and would like to book your RiskMach demo, please click here. Simply go to the date you require and the time slot most

suitable. They are running every hour on the following dates: 26th September, 27th September, 28th September Be in the chance of winning a Samsung Galaxy tablet with

Virtual Reality can give engineers an insight to the operation of complex mechanics and software, leading to faster machine development. Visitors who participate in a demonstration can take away their personal VR viewer. Lenze is increasingly using Virtual Reality technology as an extremely

L

effective engineering and training tool. PPMA visitors can experience it themselves on the Lenze stand and those that do so will be given a smartphone VR viewer to take away. The main potential of VR lies in making it easier to deal with the growing complexity of machine automation, by giving programmers and design engineers live experience of their applications through a digital twin. This term describes a digital virtual copy of the design that is put together in parallel with the real machine. Visit the Lenze stand - J56 in Hall 5 - to see the future for food and beverage machinery.

Fileder at PPMA Show 2017

returning to the Processing and Packaging show (PPMA) bringing their range of products and experience to solve the water and liquid challenges faced within the process industries. When water or other liquids play a key part in machinery operation or the end product produced, then in many cases the quality of that water or liquid needs to be consistent to maintain quality control and prevent high maintenance costs. Come and visit the Fileder stand (E50) at the PPMA show this September and discuss your water challenges with

P

one of our technical team. Whilst you are with us, take up the Fileder challenge to see how good you are at ‘striking out bacteria’, successful participants will be in with a chance to win a pair of tickets to see Manchester United play at Old Trafford OR Ed Sheeran tickets at Wembley in 2018…

HBM exhibit its award winning range at PPMA Show 2017 H

Stand E36

BM – a market leader in the field of weighing technology – will be exhibiting its world leading range of load cells and weighing electronics for checkweighers, packaging and filling and sorting machines at this year’s

PPMA Total Show on the 26-28th September 2017 at the NEC Birmingham. With speed, precision, hygiene and price being some of the key considerations for manufacturers of packaging

machines, HBM will be showcasing its latest range of load cells and modules, which include the award winning WTX120 weighing terminal, which has been designed for simple integration into industrial and rail mounted weighing applications. Suitable for use in filling, dosing and sorting plants and machines, the new high performance terminal is based on the very latest strain gauge technology and is approved for legal-for-trade applications; it offers real time communication via industrial Ethernet and Fieldbus interfaces. Easily integrated into standard industrial control systems, the WTX120 is compatible with PanelX software. Visitors to the show are also invited to find out more about HBM’s impressive range of load cells, which have been specifically developed to meet the stringent hygiene regulations required in food production. The innovative PW25 and PW27 range of load cells, designed for use in filling systems and packaging plants, multi- head combination weighers and static scales, are hermetically encapsulated and housed in stainless steel making them compatible with all cleaning and disinfectant ranges commonly used in the production process. Featuring a clean and smooth cylindrical design that is non absorbent and free from imperfection, such as

grooves and gaps, to avoid gathering, the top surfaces of the PW25 and PW27 are also inclined to prevent the collection of dust, product residue or water droplets, which reduces the possibility of contamination. Ingress protected to IP68/IP69k, the PW27 enables efficient and accurate weighing equipment to be used in fields where aseptic production is require. It meets the guidelines set out by the EHEDG (European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group). Also on display at the show is the FIT7A intelligent digital load cell for dynamic weighing applications.

Featuring class C4 accuracy per OIML R60 and a maximum scale division Y of up to 25,000, the FIT7A addresses the problems associated with bottlenecks, which can slow down production rates. Incorporating the very latest and sophisticated technology, the FIT7A performs an impressive 180 weighings per minute. For more information on solutions to dynamic weighing processes visit stand E36 and chat over a cake & coffee to Josh or Paul and see how HBM can help you.
