Our 4.5” LTPS (low temperature polysilicon) TFT display with its HDMI interface and capacitive touch offers OEM product designers an easy to integrate dynamic display solution. The KD045FHFLD005-C002A-SP001A-HDMI display features a full HD 1920(RGB) x 1080 resolution within an active area of 98.496(H) x 55.404(V)mm. The full HD resolution allows for the creation of amazing graphics and full HD video content only normally associated with much larger sized displays. As well as a high resolution the display also features an all-view viewing direction and ultra-wide viewing angles of 80°/80°/80°/80° plus a high brightness of 1100 cd/m² makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor full sunlight viewing applications. To further enhance its optical performance the display also features a high contrast ratio of 1200:1 and a full colour palette of 16.7M colours. The module has an optically bonded projected capacitive touch offering 5-point multi-touch and gesture functionality, its interface is incorporated onto the HDMI board and connects directly to your application hardware via a micro-USB port. In line with keeping every- thing simple the module is driven from a single 12VDC supply via its DC-044 jack socket connection.

CUI Devices’ Motion & Control Group today announced the introduction of a new rotary potentiometer series offering single or dual gang models as well as dual gang options with an on-off switch. The PTN16 series is housed in a 16.5 mm package with shaft lengths of 15, 20, 25, or 30 mm and D-cut or knurled shaft styles.
Ideal for control inputs for electronic circuits and audio control applications, the PTN16 models logarithmic tapers, a 0.125 W power rating, and a 300-degree mechanical angle. The PTN16 series further features through hole mounting, center detent options, and an operating temperature range from -10 to 75°C. The PTN16 models are available immediately with prices starting at $0.97 per unit at 300 pieces through distribution.

Is this the world’s smallest industrial 2-axis Hall Effect joystick?
Live Electronics, the specialist distributor of rugged industrial electronics products, has introduced what the company believes is the world’s smallest 2-axis Hall Effect joystick. Measuring just 17.5mm high above panel x 18mm in diameter, the new TS2 joystick is an IP67, analogue self-centring device, which is designed for use with remotely operated equipment, robotics and automation systems, drones and CCTV controllers.
The TS2 joystick is based on proven Hall Effect technology, providing accurate, easy to control 12-bit resolution in both the X and Y axes. The joystick offers excellent tactile feedback and has been engineered for a minimum of 2.5 million actuations. It can be supplied with either two open or two gated limiters, a
the option of a control-grip mount.
The new joystick is rated for a supply voltage of 5V and is available with pre-wired JST 28AWG cable or potted terminations. Operating temperature is between -40 to +85°C, while the TS2 complies with EN61000 electromagnetic compat- ibility and SAE J1455 vibration and shock testing standards.
The TS2 is manufactured in California by Ruffy Controls and is part of the company’s extensive range of industrial miniature company’s specialised industrial distributor in the UK.
