gears market revenue is expected to reach a value of $16.2 billion, supported by a gradual recovery in manufacturing activity. Light-duty geared products accounted for

approximately 56% of the overall market and generating nearly $7.2 billion in revenue in 2025. These are also expected to be the fastest growing product category over the forecast period, with industries such as food & beverage and packaging machinery supporting growth. Heavy-duty geared products are the second

largest product category, accounting for approximately 26% of the market. However, growth for this product category remains

subdued, mainly due to a downturn in the investment cycle of heavy industries, the report states. Planetary geared products, however,

are expected to maintain steady growth over the forecast period, primarily driven by strong demand in the high- performing wind turbine industry. Samantha Mou, senior analyst at

Interact Analysis, said: “2025 was a positive year for the global motors and industrial gears market, with substantial recovery and 4.2% year-on- year growth. We have revised our market size estimates for the geared motors and industrial gears market upwards following stronger than anticipated downstream demand recovery. As global manufacturing investment gradually stabilises, supply chain localisation initiatives in certain regions and investments

wire manufacturer to secure the global quality standard for supplying critical components and material to the demanding sector, and it took just nine months to complete the rigorous assessment. AWI has already used the certification to

reinforce its presence in the nuclear market, securing up to £150,000 of additional sales from customers supplying parts for nuclear reactors,

mini reactors and in the complex world of decommissioning. Kevin Guest, head of quality, health & safety and environmental management at Alloy Wire

International, commented: “When the founders launched AWI eighty years ago, they did so with quality at the heart of the business – in the material we produced and in the way we looked after our customers. “Operating to the highest standards is still the bedrock of our company in 2026 and this latest

nuclear certification reinforces how we can modify existing robust systems to ensure they meet the bespoke needs of a sector that is arguably one of the most demanding in the world.” Simon Payne, executive vice president UKI, at LRQA added: “Alloy Wire International’s ISO 19443 achievement demonstrates a commitment to quality, traceability and continuous improvement. Drawing on decades of experience supporting organisations across the nuclear supply chain, LRQA is proud to have supported the team, strengthening its confidence in delivering safety-critical products and services to the sector.” Precision drawn round, flat and profile wire manufactured at AWI’s state-of-the-art facility has high temperature and corrosion resistant properties ideal for end-use applications and components destined for nuclear, including high performance springs and seals.

Drew Nixon, COO Transportation segment at HUBER+SUHNER, says: “In rail communications, reliable connectivity requires seamless interaction between hardware and software to support both the operational efficiency of trains and the passenger experience onboard. Customers are increasingly looking for complete solutions, and we are happy to support them across the full spectrum going forward. The Connected Intelligence team and their capabilities will make a great addition to HUBER+SUHNER. We look forward to welcoming our new colleagues to the Group.”
