COOLING ADDED TO RACK-SCALE AI PLATFORM
nVent and AMD are collaborating to bring rack-level cooling to the AMD Helios Rackscale solution. The joint effort pairs nVent’s data centre
cooling expertise with AMD Helios to help operators deploy AI capacity at scale. This will add an nVent rear door heat exchanger (RDHx) as part of the fully integrated AMD Helios AI infrastructure platform that includes AMD Instinct graphical processing units (GPUs), EPYC central processing units (CPUs), Pensando networking technologies, and the AMD ROCm open software stack. nVent’s DC-powered RDHx is an industry-
first dual rear door, designed for the double- wide AMD Helios rack. It captures the heat that direct-to-chip liquid cooling leaves behind and returns cooled air to the space, keeping the rack effectively room-neutral. It is fully- integrated with the AMD Helios platform and offers intelligent cooling with no wasted watts, integrated air temperature, humidity sensors and differential pressure fan speed control. Additionally, its DC power matches how next-generation AI racks are powered. The result is a cooling solution that allows customers to start with a single rack and scale larger deployments over time.

STRONGER VERSION OF COMBIMET 19” ALUMINIUM RACK CASE LAUNCHED
A new and even stronger version of the METCASE COMBIMET 19" rack case has been launched to the celebrate the 15th anniversary of the range. These advanced aluminium
enclosures now feature new improved tabs that create stronger connections between the enclosure components, further increasing rigidity and robustness. In addition, the enclosures now have enlarged hidden apertures behind the front and rear panels, providing even more usable panel space for displays, controls, switches, connectors and ventilation. This versatile rack case has
a removable top, base and rear panels which offer easy access to the electronics. Both the top and base can be supplied ventilated or unventilated as standard; and, inside, there are mounting holes for PCBs/chassis, along with M4 earth studs on all panels. The COMBIMET range now offers 68 standard model/size/colour permutations including the open-top COMBIMET T, Super-deep (24") cases for server racks, and the elegant Solid Top variant with wraparound cover (that has no visible fixing screws on the top). Cases are supplied fully assembled. Standard heights range from 1U to 6U. There are three depths: 265mm, 365mm, 609.6mm – and two standard colours: light grey (RAL 7035) and black (RAL 9005). Accessories include mounting plates, 19” mounting kits, a PCB mounting kit and PCB/panel fixing screws. According to the company, COMBIMET is suitable for a wide range of rack applications including
networking and communications, industrial computers, sound and studio systems, laboratory instruments and industrial control.

ENCLOSURE SOLUTIONS: FROM LEVELLING FEET TO CABLE MANAGEMENT
A wide range of switch box and enclosure solutions – from levelling feet and control elements to closure, hinge and sealing technology, to cable management – are available from norelem. The sturdy levelling and machine feet compensate for unevenness and ensure the
stable positioning of machines, systems and enclosures. Control and monitoring devices such as buttons, switches and signal beacons are also available from the company for the human-machine interface. To protect sensitive electronics from unauthorised access and environmental influences, norelem offers twist locks and deadbolt locks for standard applications, as well as ergonomic swivel levers for larger switch boxes. Compression latches generate high contact pressure to provide a secure hold under vibrations. The range is complemented by high-temperature-resistant and anti-static (ESD) pull handles as well as by space-saving recess handles and folding handles made of aluminium and stainless steel. Internal concealed hinges ensure smooth outer surfaces and offer protection against tampering. Also available are edge protection profiles to cover sharp sheet metal edges; and
flexible sealing profiles and self-sealing profiles to protect enclosures from dust, dirt and moisture. These can be adapted to different contours. Smart cable management solutions are also available. Cable glands and grommets enable defined and, depending on the selected version, IP-compliant transitions into switch boxes and enclosures as well as safe strain relief. norelem provides technical advice
and a comprehensive CAD database helping facilitate the selection, integration and procurement of the required components.

autoVimation offers camera enclosures for machine
vision applications, designed to protect cameras and lasers from dirt and moisture while providing effective passive cooling. Active
heating and cooling options are also available for more extreme temperature applications, the company explains. Different enclosure sizes and modular extensions are
said to accommodate all common industrial camera models and a wide range of lenses. Window materials are available for all inspection tasks from visible light to hyperspectral imaging and infrared vision as well as for laser light sources. These solutions – which include the Chameleon and Lizard
enclosures – can be used in diverse industrial settings, including in the food and beverage sector. The rugged aluminium enclosures provide at least IP66 protection. The Chameleon series fits right-angled cameras and vision
sensors, while the Lizard enclosures have a removable tube for tool-less access to the lens settings. Lenses with different lengths, including wide-angle lenses, can be mounted directly behind the front window for shading-free image capture.
