CONSIDERATIONS


To accompany its HMI enclosure panels, Teknokol also offers support arm systems with three different load ratings, catering for loads of up to 120kg and a full complement of fixed and hinged joints, as well as a range of panel connections. The support arm range is further enhanced by a height adjustable support arm with height adjustment of 600mm to allow height movement of your HMI panel

for ergonomic or operational reasons. Considerations for the design of HMI


enclosure panels include the depth of the HMI, allowing for any connectors for power and communications that may be present, along with environmental considerations for heat dissipation. Most HMI manufacturers specify a ‘free air’ allowance for their devices which, along with other factors, determine the size of the panel and the relative position of the HMI cut-out on the enclosure front sheet. The free design service from Lamonde & Teknokol takes into consideration all factors in the design and layout of HMI panel enclosures and specifying a suitably rated support arm system to provide many years of useful, reliable, operation. When direct connection to a machine is not possible, a coupling tower is an alternative solution for mounting support arm and panel enclosures. The load ratings for Teknokol’s support arm


systems are 45kg for the TK45, 60kg for the TK060, and 120kg for the TK120 system (all at 1m distance), simplifying the selection of an appropriate range. Mounting for signal lamps is catered for with replacement joint covers for the TK060 range with options for M18 and M22 threads available to accommodate popular brands of warning lamps.
