According to new research by market intelligence firm, Interact Analysis, the ultra-low voltage motors market is experiencing a period of growth and by 2027 will be worth almost $6.5bn. The increased use of mobile robots is having a huge impact on the market

for ultra-low voltage motors and, as a result of this, the supplier landscape will change significantly. One of the major trends that Interact Analysis has seen across the manufacturing industry is the need for greater machine flexibility due to the increased number of product variations that automated machines need to handle. As a result of this, the number of small actuation points requiring an ultra-low voltage motor is greater. Another trend is the increasing demand for mobile and industrial robots, which is driving up revenues for the ultra-low voltage market. Blake Griffin, research manager at Interact Analysis, said: “Taking a look at

the market by product type, we see that the growth opportunity for integrated motors is staggering. We estimate the growth of revenues for this product to carry a CAGR of 45% between 2022 and 2027. “By 2027, integrated motors will account for 14% of the motors used

in mobile robots. Whilst the mobile robotics segment only accounts for 3% of motor shipments today, by the end of 2027 the sector will account

leuze celebrates 60th anniversary

International sensor expert Leuze Group is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. The creation of the electronics division in 1963 was not the beginning of

the Leuze company history – it goes all the way back to the 17th century in Eningen/Achalm bei Reutlingen, Southern Germany. Years later, as mechanical weaving looms increasingly displaced hand weaving and cotton replaced the local linen, the Leuze family took textile production into their own hands. From this emerged a renowned textile company. To guard against fundamental changes, additional activities in other areas were initiated, leading to the creation of Leuze electronic in 1963. Today, Leuze is an international sensor expert and a leading innovator in

the field of industrial automation, with over 1600 employees worldwide. “Success is always a collaborative effort. This understanding of values is

the basis and requirement for the constant further development of our family business. Through the energetic dedication of our employees and often many years of loyalty to our business, we have succeeded in leading our company to its current importance,” said Christof Leuze, shareholder and former managing director of Leuze electronic. In 2022, Leuze achieved sales of 322 million euros.
