Panasonic is celebrang a double milestone during 2018, marking 100 years of the company and 60 years since the launch of its first aircondioning product.


he heating & cooling side of Panasonic’s business was developed in 1958, with this year marking 60 years of sustainable and reliable products within the HVAC industry. The wish to excel has made Panasonic an international leader in innovative, efficient and economical heating and cooling solutions. Tony Nielsen, UK Marketing Manager, Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions UK explains: “Panasonic is a brand trusted by many. To repay that trust, Panasonic constantly invests in R&D to deliver new and innovative products to the market that will further benefit their customers and the environment. The diversification Panasonic has shown throughout the years demonstrates an enthusiasm to take steps into new territories.” In February, Panasonic hosted a three-day celebratory convention in Mallorca. Two-thousand customers and 200 press from 42 different countries attended to mark 100 years since Panasonic was founded and 60 years of heating and cooling innovation.

Panasonic celebrates double anniversary during 2018


Panasonic’s key milestones with the people that continue to grow and support the brand – its customers. The following month, Panasonic created a buzzing stand at the biggest event in Europe for exhibiting excellence in climate control and renewable energies, Mostra Convegno Expocomfort show in Milan.


Panasonic showcased new solutions for the residential and commercial markets, while an insightful press conference was held, making it an ideal platform to share its global and European growth strategies.


Speaking at the event, Laurent Abadie, CEO of Panasonic Europe, shared key milestones in the history of the company, from when it was founded to today. He highlighted the company’s first residential air conditioner, which was launched in Japan in 1958, and traced the evolution of its heating and cooling business strategy towards the innovative and environmentally- friendly products in the market today: “In the spirit of the company's founding father, Konosuke Matsushita, we want to develop technological solutions that respond to the philosophy of ‘a better life, a better world’ by always placing them at the heart of people's lives.” Enrique Vilamitjana, Managing Director of Panasonic Air Conditioning Europe added: "The objective of Panasonic Air- Conditioning Europe is to become a leader in the European heating and cooling market. By 2020, the Panasonic solutions package will be increasingly focused on the supply of commercial air conditioning and air to water heat pumps (Aquarea), without abandoning residential products. The requirements of the new products will be based on the following key elements: efficiency, air quality, environmental respect and connectivity."

The Aquarea Smart Cloud interface has been enhanced with the new Aquarea Service Cloud platform, dedicated to installers and maintenance workers, who can now perform servicing and maintenance tasks on Aquarea H Generation heat pumps remotely. New datanavi technology, compatible with the CZ-RTC5B controller simplifies the management of commercial and industrial air-conditioning systems, providing operational, manual and historical data for faster and more efficient servicing.
