Cases & enclosures L
eading enclosure manufacturer Spelsberg has launched a new design for junction boxes with a self-sealing membrane and threaded cable entries. The Abox 040 /S offers installers unrivalled flexibility with a range of features designed for fast installation and reliable performance across a range of domestic, commercial and industrial applications. The new, versatile enclosure from Spelsberg features the highest insulation voltage in its class at 1,000 volts as well as protection against
mechanical stress thanks to its robust IK07 impact resistance. Its IP66 rating means it delivers complete protection against contact, including fine dust, and against even powerful water jets.
Designed for optimum versatility, the Abox 040 /S offers the choice of a TPE membrane for rapid cable installation or strain relief via a cable gland. It is available both as a standalone unit or complete with two M20 and one M25 cable glands, meaning each enclosure is ready for immediate installation or available for customisation as required. With the most entry options per side of any enclosure in its class as well as maximum adaptability for cable entry, the new enclosure is designed for fast installation across residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural applications. It is also glow wire tested and VDE certified to ensure the safety of the electrical equipment it protects.
The high levels of resilience and customisation that the Abox 040 /S offers mean it is an ideal choice for projects with multiple competing requirements or where there is a requirement for ongoing decision making. Built from polypropylene,
the enclosure is suitable for long-term indoor and outdoor use including for applications that require protection against UV radiation damage. It also features corrosion-resistant stainless steel cover screws for even greater long-term reliability. Full product details and options are available on
