OKW’S NEW POLE/MAST B RACKET FOR ENCLOSURES IN HARSH INDUSTRIAL/OUTDOOR LOCATIONS O
KW has launched a new universal bracket (accessory) for mounting IP-rated electronic enclosures on poles and masts in harsh outdoor or industrial environments. It is suitable for poles of minimum ø30 mm or > ø70 mm. Mounting enclosures high on poles can help to protect them from impact. OKW’s
bracket is ideal for applications including plant/machine construction, HVAC, IoT/ IIoT, smart factory/Industry 4.0, gateways, data loggers, ICT, electrical installations, measurement, control, agriculture and safety engineering. It fits a wide range of OKW enclosures, notably tough industrial electronics housings
such as SOLID-BOX (IP 66, IP 67, IK08) and SMART-BOX (IP 66). The bracket can also be specified for use with other brands of enclosure. Fitting the bracket to the rear of the enclosure requires drilling four holes 51 mm
apart in a square pattern. Attachment to the pole/mast is with cable ties or stainless steel screw bands. Every application is different in terms of environment, sealing requirements, enclosure size/version and mast diameter so no mounting screws, cable ties or stainless steel screw bands are supplied; only the bracket is included. However, OKW can provide a solution tailored to the intended application on request. The 100 x 100 x 20 mm universal bracket is moulded from UV-stable ASA (UL 94 HB)
in anthracite grey (RAL 7016) as standard. OKW can supply the bracket on its own or as part of a customised enclosure project. OKW’s customisation services include machining, lacquering,
printing, laser marking, decor foils, EMC shielding, and installation/assembly of accessories. For more information, view the OKW website:
