Following the successful unification of the Instrumentation Excellence Awards and the Electronics Industry Awards in 2025, the combined platform enters its second year with growing momentum. The 2026 programme builds on that foundation, offering an expanded and more comprehensive set of categories designed to reflect
both the core strengths of the sectors and the rapid pace of technological change shaping its future. The awards continue to provide a valuable opportunity for companies and individuals to gain recognition for innovation, technical achievement and commercial impact. Open to manufacturers, suppliers, integrators and end users, the programme is designed to showcase the full breadth of the industry, from component- level development through to system-wide implementation and real-world application.
NEW CATEGORIES
A key development for 2026 is the introduction of several new categories, aimed at capturing emerging
areas of focus and ensuring the awards remain aligned with current and future industry priorities. Among the most significant additions is the Industrial AI Product of the Year category. As artificial intelligence continues to transform industrial environments, its role within instrumentation and electronics is becoming increasingly central. From predictive maintenance and condition monitoring to advanced analytics and autonomous optimisation, AI-enabled solutions are helping organisations to improve efficiency, reduce downtime and unlock new levels of performance. This category has been introduced to recognise products that demonstrate tangible, real-world impact through the intelligent application of AI technologies in industrial settings.
