ADVERTORIAL TECHNOLOGY IN ACTION Renovotec launches

warehousing and distribution, manufacturing and retail companies is launching a ‘switch to Android’ campaign designed to help users wanting to make the transition to an Android rugged mobile device environment. In the first of a series of market moves Renovotec is cutting prices for many of its most popular Android mobile devices by 25% and launching a free helpdesk to provide specialist support for Android users. Future moves will include a no-capital- expenditure, low-risk Android rental option to be announced early next year. “Based on our industry experience Android is now the

ith 30+ worldwide patents pending and outputs ranging from 160 to 960 kg/h, Fulton has created a world-first, spiral-rib tubeless design for its new VSRT,

Technology, Fulton’s VSRT steam boiler challenges the traditional heat transfer and mechanical design principles of vertical boilers. It also boasts industry-leading performance with up to 82% gross efficiency from a fully-water-backed design with no refractory. Its ‘PURE Optimised’ architecture makes it durable and reliable, with up to 6:1

turndown through its fully-modulating burner. The VSRT is CE marked and complies with anticipated EU regulations, with its combustion technology being reconfigured and the fully-matched, low NOx mesh burner and furnace designed as a single component. Industrial flow measurement: Handbook updated

T

he handbook covers a wide range of

topics, including how to identify the correct measurement technique and the best flowmeter to use for specific fluids.

Other important

topics covered include calibration; communications options, including HART and Fieldbus; fluid mechanics concepts and an overview outlining the suitability of different flowmeters and materials for measuring corrosive fluid flows. The guide also includes a handy reference section containing a list of standards and a synopsis of keywords.

“The diverse range of flow measurement solutions

on the market can cause confusion when it comes to selecting the best flowmeter for a particular application,” says David Bowers, ABB’s pressure and process flow product manager. “Our flow measurement handbook introduces the basic principles behind the science in an easy to understand way, but also provides a detailed assessment of flowmeter options and how they should be used to help ensure accurate and reliable measurements across different applications.”

development, the drive manufacturer conducts comprehensive tests with frequency inverters and motor starters in an EMC cabin at the company's HQ location in Germany. These documented tests significantly accelerate the CE certification process. Electromagnetic compatibility or EMC testing examines two different aspects: on the one hand, drive electronics are checked for their own emission of electromagnetic energy, which must not exceed specific limit values. On the other hand, these test objects must also be confirmed to be immune to interference from other emission sources. Using the in-house EMC cabin, NORD is able to detect potential problem sources at an early stage and efficiently resolve any such issues well in time. The latest product family of field distribution systems, including all-new size 2 inverters (5.5 and 7.5 kW), was recently classified using this testing facility, and development of another product series is already in full swing as well.

ESAB G Series regulators now manufactured in Europe E

SAB, a world leader in welding and cutting technologies, has invested heavily in a factory in Poland to manufacture its popular G Series pressure and flow

regulators for customers in Europe. With production now taking place closer to this key market, customers are benefiting from better stock levels at distributors and faster deliveries of non-stocked items in just 5-7 days. The factory state of the art manufacturing facility in Opole, Poland has been

equipped with brand new tooling, utilizing the latest processes. Furthermore, the regulators are 100 per cent inspected and tested prior to dispatch, so customers are assured of the highest possible quality and safety. G Series regulators have been available in Europe for approximately three

years, sourced from ESAB’s factories in the USA, Mexico and China. The product range has been very well received by customers in this region, so ESAB decided to commit substantial resources to establishing a manufacturing facility specifically to serve the European market.
