Healthy and happy, inside and out
As a professional make-up artist, Miranda Mercado Gregory has a lot of experience of making clients look good on the outside – but a change of business direction has given her the chance to help people feel good inside and out. Having moved out of London and settled in Milton
Keynes with her young family, Miranda became a brand ambassador for Arbonne. Her interest in skincare drew her to their plant-based, cruelty free products – which in turn led her to the fi rm’s nutrition and healthy living programmes. Today, she supports clients in adopting and sticking to Arbonne’s 30-Day Plan which helps set them up to think more carefully about what they eat and importance of gut health in maximising the benefi ts of what they’re eating.

“We don’t call it a cleanse, or a detox as it is not a deprivation-based plan. It is an educational programme, a lifestyle shift where you learn to fuel your body with nutritionally balanced plates of food,” explained Miranda. “With my support, clients embark on a 30-day plan that is designed to fi rstly, improve gut health and boost the nutrients your body absorbs, secondly, to balance your blood sugar levels and thirdly, to remove addictive, irritating, infl ammatory or allergenic foods from your diet. “Gut health is the foundation of a healthy body and mind and the main objective of the plan is to restore a healthy gut. 70% of your immune system begins in your gut and your happy hormone, serotonin, is made in the gut. Everything is connected. Which is why it is so, important to keep your gut healthy and happy. “I fi rst went on the 30-day plan a few years ago and
loved it! I noticed the diff erence in less than a week and my clients do too. It really taught me so much about food and nutrition and how it aff ects your body. In fact, quite a few people have ended up training as nutrition- ists because it does change the way you think about food and making more conscious decisions.”
