We gonna be at Fashion Week Paris this year. We are excited to introduce all our creations to the market. The idea is to create a tribe worldwide.
Each piece from TAFARI is meticulously crafted to reflect a harmonious fusion of diverse influences, including tribal motifs, Afro/Latin sounds, vibrant colors, and urban streetwear elements.
One of TAFARI’s distinguishing features is its abi- lity to bridge the gap between different cultural backgrounds and artistic expressions. The brand’s designs often incorporate elements from HUGEL’s music, such as tribal drums, energetic rhythms, and the vibrant energy of electronic dance music.
The brand aims to create pieces that stand out in the market, offering a fresh perspective on luxury streetwear while maintaining a connection to its spiritual and cultural roots.
HUGEL’s journey into fashion is deeply rooted in his early influences from the hip-hop world.
“Well, I’m coming from hip-hop. I was at first a hip-hop producer. The hip-hop culture influen- ced me a lot growing up. I always wanted to have my fashion brand one day. Something cool with attitude. When you look at how people dress in electronic music, it’s not that cool. Nothing compares to rappers and so on. We never heard about a DJ fashion brand that is COOL, right?”
This realization fueled HUGEL’s ambition to create a top-tier fashion luxury streetwear brand, something unique and reflective of his vibrant personality and musical style.
“I only do things with passion. I believe that what is good is good. The pieces we create are unique and don’t look like anything else. So, it will for sure meet its niche of clients.”
His vision for Tafari is ambitious, with plans to open a store in New York within the next three years and a debut at Fashion Week Paris this year.
“We are excited to introduce all our creations to the market. The idea is to create a tribe worldwi- de.”
HUGEL’s creative journey doesn’t stop at fashion. He is equally enthusiastic about his upcoming music projects and collaborations with prominent artists.
“I have a lot of new tracks coming up! Of cour- se, ‘Forever’ is this new collaboration with Diplo and Malou. But also this ‘I Adore You’ track that is going viral now on socials, with Topic and Dae- colm. ‘Again’ with Roger Sanchez and ‘Corraçao’ with Jerry Ropero, Jesus Fernandez, and Mijangos.
