State Museum Celebrates American Indian Heritage
In November, a great number of Lumbee Tribal members joined sister tribes from across the state at the N.C. Museum of History for the 27th Annual American Indian Heritage Celebration. The museum event is an amazing day to celebrate American Indian tribes, culture and contributions to the state of N.C. The event included dancing, information sessions, presentations, demonstrations, artisans with their art, quilting, and something for everyone!

The Lumbee Tribe was well represented. Thank you to the Lumbee Culture Team presenters, the Lumbee Ambassadors, Sr. Miss Lumbee and Miss Indian N.C. for representing our tribal family and sharing our culture. War Paint was the Northern- Style Drum Group and the Lumbee Warriors participated in the grand entry procession. The Lumbee Tribe also had a number of our tribal members who participated in the presentation sessions and showcased their designs and art.
