Community Service Volun­ teers (CSV), the UK’s largest volunteering charity, is call­ ing for people in Lancashire to gain new skills and increase their employability by becom­ ing a full-time volunteer. CSV, which runs volun­


teering and social action programmes, has multiple opportunities for volunteers


available now, including 20 placements around the UK which need to be filled by full- time volunteers. The majority of roles would involve sup­ porting people with physical disabilities, learning disabili­ ties or older people in order to help them live independently in their own home. The vol­ unteers will provide compan­


ionship and support and help with practical tasks such as shopping, cooking, personal care or helping to access social and leisure activities. Compassionate men and
