Roger’s birthday gift for Rosemere

Clitheroe man Roger Wilson chose a Welsh theme for his 65 th birth day to celebrate the land ofhis birth. • A giant Welsh flag formed the backdrop for his

' party, which was held at Clitheroe Rugby Club. Roger, of Siddows Avenue, welcomed family and friends from all over the country ' to his celebrations.

. He requested that guests should instead of buy- inghimpresentsdonate money to the Rosemere Cancer Foundation, which helped fund treat ment received by his wife, Mandy.

Family and friends gave generously and more than £415 was raised for the foundation, which supports cancer treatment in Lancashire and South Cumbria from its base at the Royal Preston Hospital.
