Jewellery and coins shine to tempt buyers at spring auction

Silverwoods’ April 24th sale of Antiques and Fine Art. The glittering gems at

T

the Clitheroe auction house tempted buyers in a packed saleroom and from all over the world via the internet to pay well over catalogue estimates - particularly for diamonds. A very attractive early

An i8ct white gold ladies diamond solitaire ring with a one carat diamond also sold to a bidder in the room, for £1,650, while a late 19th century crescent moon brooch with 19 brilliant cut diamonds went under the hammer for £1,300.
