the Admiral Nursing Service was the guest speaker at the Royal British Legion AGM Chatburn and District Branch at The Calf’s Head, Worston. She explained that anyone who has done their National Serviceorreceivedpayfor - one week in anyoftheArmed Services is eligible for help with dementia. The Admiral Nursing Service helps support family and friends of people with dementia, enabling the person to live at home and at all stages with a “needs-led” service. They also work with Dementia UK promoting •- Dementia Friends, learning about the small things you can do to help people with demen­ tia. The Royal British Legion through the Poppy Appeal is supporting Admiral Nurses in, Lancashire. Member Mr Dan Bradbury followed this with a talk about his father's letters home to his mother during the Second World War when his father was a prisoner of war. The letters had been hid­ den for 70 years and Dan has clearly found this experience . very moving.
