The countdown has begun for the first ever Christmas Festival to be staged in Clitheroe taking place this Saturday. Organised by the town’s
Chamber of Trade and Com merce, the one day extravagan

between attending charitable groups and the Chamber’s cho sen charity for the year, Our Local Heroes, who will be at tending on the day. A spokes man for the Chamber said: “This independent retail and visitor experience is not to be missed.” Throughout the day, every
hour there will be food demon strations and tastings at Intoto Kitchens on Parson Lane with the Food Festival. The pop-up Apocetahry bar will be open at the top of Moor Lane with live entertainment. There will be various local
, music groups around the town ■ including at Dawsons, Market Place, King Street, Castle Street and Moor Lane. There will be donkey
rides for children in the Cas tle grounds and Thwaites Shire horses will visit the four Thwaites pubs at 20 minute in tervals betweenu am and4pm.
