THE WHALLEY WINE SHOP
kdp(R^ ^ou tkoo^e -fcke Yi^K-E "Jow.
There is no grape quite like Gewurtztraminer. Smells of orangy marmalade, turkish delight, elderflowerand lychees. This aromatic wine is amazing with spicy prawns or a nice Thai curry.
Tom is the previous manager of the Threshers in Whatley and 6 months since the shop dosed, at the age of 25, he is the owner of the revamped The Whatley Wine Shop’.
"We opened in April and thanks to the support of the fantastic people of Whatley and the surrounding area, so far it’s been a great success. Our philosophy is to ’help you choose the right wine....everytime’ , be it a gift, a special occasion or a night in front of the box! There's nearly always a bottle of wine open in the shop and a member of the team on hand to help, so pop along for a taste at any time".

This Sauvignon Blanc comes from the Loire Valley of France, producing a crisp, dry, and refreshing white wine. This example retains its characteristic minerality and when slightly chilled, it pairs beautifully with fish.

Rioja is the perfect partner for lamb. Smooth metlow flavours of cherry and sweet red fruit counter balanced perfectly by a velvety vanilla and oak finish. Great length of flavour and a complex structure. Top drawer Reserve level wine.

If you're grilling burgers, ribs, or sausages with a tasty barbecue sauce, you want a wine that won’t try to compete with the flavour but will complement it. A rich, hearty and spicy red with a hint of black pepper will do the trick. Shiraz it is.
