I best MPV for the Kia Sedona, Per^s Kia is encouraging East Lancashire motorists to explore ■ what the UK has to offer this summer by testing the strength and capabilities of an award-winning towing car. “It’s great to,see a resurgence of

caravans,” commented Nigel Defna- line, Perrys general sales manager. “Towing a caravan is like having a

home away'from home anywhere in the country; it’s so easy to leave the van to go exploring in your car, and the Sedona has seven seats - with the option of back-seat DVD players - so is perfect for families looking for an . inexpensive place to sleep.” ' “We at Kia and our. customers •

have always known' what a good . workhorse the Sedona is so we are delighted that Practical Caravan and , What Car? have endorsed that view. “It’s also encouraging for anyone

out there who is new to caravanning - the Sedona is affordable and reli able and we welcome any caravanner ■

to the dealership if they have ques tions or need any help.”

: With thousands more Britons tow ing caravans this year, here are some top tips from Perrys Kia for anyone new to towing: • Remember that speed limits are

different when towing a caravan - 60mph on the motorNwy and 50mph on roads where national speed limit applies

• Anticipation is the key when you

are towing. Be aware of where the road is going, and what other road users are doing

.

• Don’t wait for the.car in front of you to brake. Your caravan will

: not stop as quickly as a normal car so always leave plenty of space in front ofyqu • Most caravans are wider than

; the towing vehicle, so your position on the road will be different with a

■ one attached • Check your wing mirror views to

see if you require mirror extensions to enable you to see past the caravan • Take extra care when turning

corners or pulling up alongside kerbs, shop signs and fuel pumps • Travel more slowly than nor

mal in the interests of safety and fuel economy • Be careful when overtaking, as

your acceleration will be reduced. Before drivers hit the road this

summer why not visit Perrys Kia for a thorough check up or service. For further informationcall Perrys on 01282 427 321 or head down to •the dealership on Accrington Road, Burnley.

• LONG-TIME caravanners' favour ite the Kia Sedona won the judges over with its prodigious towing ca pability, thanks to its new 2.2Titre diesel engine and six-speed auto matic transmission. Sedona is renowned for its:
