The new dealership, trading as Doves
Volvo Blackburn, opened for business a couple of months ago in a newly refur bished showroom on the Blackburn Motor Park site, alongside the newly refurbished Fiat dealership at Copy
Nook. The Doves name was chosen as the ■■■■■■■
group already runs several other Volvo dealerships in the UK which have always traded under the Doves brand
name. The new Blackburn dealership is able
to cater for all the requirements of exist ing Volvo owners in the area, with a fully equipped Volvo service department, parts and accessories, and, of course, new and used Volvo car sales. The venture is headed up by Tony .Lowe, who will be known to a great
many people in the area. Tony was MD of the the local BMW and MINI opera
tion for more than 10 years, but is now glad to be back and operating locally within the motor car business once again, after a spell running his own com
pany. Looking after front-of-house after
sales operations is Steve Waddington, who has more than 30 years Volvo expe rience, while Volvo master technician Kevin Copeland ensures that all runs smoothly back of house where the real workgocson. Car sales are handled by three very

UK, Doves is also in the process of appointing a bodyshop, who will be audited and approved by the manufac- tmer to work on Volvo cars. Buaness and corporate sales are also
