A RIBBLE Valley country hall hotel dating back to the 19th century is up for, grabs with a price tag of • £2.5m.
. Eaves 'H a l l C o u n t ry H o te l in Waddington, owned b y 'R ic h a rd s o n Hotels, whose headquar ters are based in Manches ter, had a. turnover- of £1.09m in 2008.
. The imposing building,
/ which is being marketed by property agent Savills, is set within grounds extend-
; ing to 13 acres and includes 34 en -su ite bedrooms.

Tributes are paid to teacher
T R IB U T E S have been, paid to a former chairman of Clitheroe Ladies’ Circle who has died a t the age of 43.
Born in Kent, Caroline
Alston (pictured) was edu cated a t Rochester Girls Grammar School b e fo re : g a in in g a BEd (h o n s ) degree a t St Martin's Col lege in Lancaster. . Her first major teaching
post was a t Pendle Prima ry School, Clitheroe, i n .. 1988. She moved to Lon- gridge CE Primary School in 1992 and had worked
there for almost 18 years. . 'M rs Alston se t tle d in C lith e ro e w ith her h u s band Brian and joined the
Clitheroe Ladies’ Circle in
2000. As i t s c h a i rm a n in
2004/5 she was active in raising
funds.particularly for cancer charities due to the death a t the age of 55 of h e r m o th e r , B a rb a ra
: Eccles, who was also a teacher and her awareness of how devastating the dis- easecouldbe. She died ju s t seven days
