Bonfire The village bonfire and firework display takes place on Grindleton Playing Fields tonight. The fire will be lit at 6 p.m. followed by the firework display at 6-30 p.m. There will be sausage butties, hot drinks and cakes. For those bak­ ing cakes take them along tonight.

Fellowship On Sunday the guest speaker at Harrop Fold Fellowship was The Rev. Ian Jami­ son, of Blackpool, a baptist minister who travels all over the country preaching the Gospel. He orig­ inates from South Africa and he spoke on the theme of “The Church as the Bride of Christ,” encouraging every­ one to be ready for the return of Jesus Christ.

Bonfire Night Don’t forget tonight the heat will be on the Bailey field, behind Hurst Green Memorial Hall as the football and cricket club host a bonfire night for all the village. The fire will be lit a t 6-30 p.m., with fireworks being let off from 7 p.m.
