NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the eifect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any person to cause or permit any motor vehicle or cyde from proceeding at a speed exceeding 40MPH over that length of A59 Mellon Brook Bypass, Balderstone from its eastern junction with Huntly Gate to a point 600 metres east of Its junction with Bowfields Lane, in the Bomughs of South Ribble and Kibble Valley.


The Police, Rre and Ambulance Services have been informed.


The tempotaty speed restriction is necessary for the safety of,the workforce and highway users during major conshuctipn works.


The prohibition will be operative from 0700 hours on Monday 15 September 2008 unril^OOOl hours on Sunday 15 March 2009.
