A flip of a coin « changed history
BACK in 1959 guitarist Tommy Allsup lost the flip of a coin with Ritchie Valens for a seat on a plane, and the rest, as they say, is

which went on to crash shortly after take off, killing Buddy, Ritchie and the Big Bop- per.

Buddy's band on songs like “It's So Easy”, “Heartbeat” and “Wishing”. This also explains Tommy’s link to singer/songwriter Kevin Montgomery, also pictured, as Kevin’s dad wrote “Heartbeat” and “Wish ing” with Buddy, back in the days before The Crickets. Kevin has always featured those songs, along with others, in his set when he tours here in the UK. Now music fans in the Ribble Valley can
experience their magic when the Aspinall Arms, at Mitton, hosts “An Evening with Tommy Allsup and Kevin Montgomery” on Sunday, June 8th Also featuring special guests, the show will begin acoustically with Kevin and
