POLICE are investi gating tlie theft of a trailer worth £1,000. The Ifor Williams
trailer went missing from outside a rear yard of a terrace house in Alain Street, Gisburn, some time between 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 29th, and 2 p.m. the next day. Cash stolen
CASH and a GPS snooper device were stolen from a Volvo parked in Langho. Thieves gained entry
into the W-registered vehicle via the passenger side door and escaped with the goods worth £170 some time during the early hours of Janu ary 2nd.

H A P PY memories came flooding back when a group of horse lovers came together for a reunion. The Wiswell Rebels
were, in the 1960s and 70s, a group of local youngsters who joined a pony club under the guidance of Mrs Marion Sycamore. Mrs Sycamore, a keen
local horsewoman, explained to those pres ent a t the evening in Pendleton Village Hall how the club came into being. Jilly Farthing, the
daughter of Parker and Bobbie Robinson, of Stocks Hill Farm, Wiswell, where the pony club events were held, encouraged people to share their reminiscences of the club, often with

hilarious results. An old cine film, transferred to DVD, was shown, and old photographs were on display. The “Rebels” were, in
their younger days, instructed by Mrs Sycamore in horse care, riding and jumping. A highlight in the year was always the gymkhana, which became a major attraction to horse peo ple locally. One Rebel, Miles
Slinger, came to the event proudly sporting his red first prize rosette, for winning a bending com petition at one of the shows. The cups and trophies
donated by villagers all those years ago were taken by Airs Robinson to Albany, Western Aus tralia, where she went to live.
There, she set up a sis ter branch of the Wiswell
