St Peter’s Primary School, Simonstone, will be holding their annual school coun­ cil assembly on Fri­ day, October 17 th at 2-45 p.m.. when pupils will elect council members to serve on the com­ mittee for a year.

Blind insight Slaidburn Young Farmers met on Monday for a talk by Mr George Turner and Mr


. Kevin Lonergan on their work for Gal­ loways Society for the Blind.


They talked about the help available for blind people and the ■ fund-raising they do.
