Every bride wants to walk down die aisle looking and feeling a million dollars. After all,- she is. the centre of attention. However,
•finding a dress the bride loves and feels elegant in, can be a long, exciting and expensive task. Allow plenty of time to choose the perfect gown and once happy with the style, colour and fit,'corriplement it with bridal accessories such as the right necklace, earrings, veil, tiara, shoes, and even the right garter.
Wedding preparation should not just be left up to the bride, so the bridegroom , . needs to be involved. He should sort out his own sui^ shoes, waistcoat, culDinks^, . and any other accessories. There are also invitations to double check, wedding present lists (if used) 'to agree, transport to and fixjm'the venue to arrange, and the . ceremonial cake to buy.
One jpf the most useful role he can adopt is to “organise the dream honeymoon. For , m a n y couples this will be a well-deserved break and possibly, the longest time they ever get to spend away. It will also probably be the most expensive holiday • they ever splash out on, so it ■ is a good idea to agree on ■ the destination.
^ Q:
smoothly as clockwork, here-are a few tips that all
bridegrooms and brides-to-be may like to consider to help them stay calm on their memorable day so that they enjoy it to the fullest.
,
Getting married can be a daunting prospect and the pre-wedding period can be an especially stressful time for most couples. Managing stress and anxiety effectively can be crucial to making this time a positive one.
Allow plenty of time to search for the perfect wedding venue. There are many different types of venues ranging from hotels, pubs, church halls and marquees to riataurants, town halls, golf and football clubs.
Having found the perfect venue it is wise to secure it straight away so that attention can be turned to all the otlier big day ■
Once that is over and done with, make sure a trip to the florist is worthwhile to select flowers for the church, wedding reception and, o f course, the bride and bridesmaids’ bouquets.
Weddings take a great deal of planning, but within 12 hours, the whole ceremony and the day is gone. Book a wedding photographer to preserve the memories of the special day.
All in all it a wedding need not cost the earth, preparation can help to ensure a smooth, memorable wedding day. Believe it or not, the day. will fly by, so try and enjoy every moment.

Old Zoo owner Ger ald-Hitman was delighted by the response and on Sunday personal ly conducted a tour of the gar dens, which grew from his vision of enabling a diverse group of gardeners, woodworkers, sculp tors and people in the building trades to “do what they liked.” P ictured are Mr Hitman’s
