The hall was decked with cheerful Christ mas decorations, the tables laid, and Christmas music playing to create the atmosphere. Every one enjoyed a deli cious Jacob’s join supper, with beef, turkey, ham and all the usual accompli- ments. It was quite a hearty feast. Next came a choice of irre- sistable sweets, cheese and biscuits. President Mrs Kate Ackroyd, concluded the meal with a toast to the Wl and the Queen and everyone enjoyed a glass of wine and a piece of Christmas cake.
