A DESCRIPTION of a man caught pinching a pair of knickers and a bra off a Clitheroe washing line has been released by police.


The man was seen by a local work­


man stealing the underwear from a washing line in the backyard of a house in Whalley Road around 11-30 a.m. on Monday.


When confronted, the man threw


the underwear over a wall back into the yard before running off up Whal­ ley Road towardsPrimrose'Garage. He is described as a white male in his


early 20s, six feet tall, of heavy build with dark almost black hair in a basin cut. He had a spotty chin, and was wear­ ing a dark coloured jacket that had a

the incident, said there had been sev­ eral similar incidents during the sum­ mer, but these had occurred in the Bleasdale Avenue, Fairfield Drive and Low Moor area of town. “There were no witnesses then as the


incidents happened during the night. “This incident is quite unusual


because it happened during the day and we have a detailed description,” added PC Ross. Anyone who might recognise the
